My daughter just loves artichoke spinich dip. She bakes hers in the oven and it is so good. I hate to heat up the oven unless I have to so I adapted the recipe to make in my crock pot. It is wonderful. I think it tastes just like the one that is made in the oven and I am saving energy by not heating up the oven. Let me know what you think about it. I love goats cheese but you could use some other kind if that is the kind you normallly use in your artichoke spinish dip
Crockpot Artichoke Spinach Dip
2 cups frozen chopped spinach
14-oz. jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1-1/2 cups Goats cheese
Thaw spinach and drain well, pressing to remove water. Combine spinach with the rest of the ingredients in a 1 to 3 quart crockpot. Cover and cook on low setting for 2-3 hours. Serve with bread chunks, crackers, etc.

You are just dishing out the things I love tonight!!!! :)
I have always loved this dip but I never found a recipe that I liked.
I am certainly going to have to try this!
I love using my Crockpot. Just throw everything in and let it cook! What could be better? OK...besides the microwave. But the Crockpot makes the whole house smell of what one is cooking! :)

Oh man I love this stuff ...I love to eat mine on tortilla chips ... I have always bought the TGIF Brand at the store and it is like $4.00 for a 8 oz . portion .I have never made my own ...since this is so easy to just put into the crock pot I know will definetly make this ...wouldn't that be a cool dish to take to a function or to someones party a nice warm homemade dip ...leave it right in the crock pot and keep it warm to serve ...awesome idea making this in the crockpot ... :D

We are not artichoke eaters. Would eat jerusalem artichokes though. These are not even part of the grocery much around here. I know they are easily grown. Need good clippers to harvest them. So nice of you to share this with all of Mylot though. Thanks so much!!

Thank you! Thank you! I've been looking for a good recipe for this dip. I usually buy the 5-pack of TGIF brand at BJ's, but at $10 for 5 servings, I find it's too expensive to purchase regularly.
I've never had goat cheese before. Could you tell me if it is similar in taste/texture to any types of cow cheese?

There are a couple other cheeses that people use. One is monzerella cheese and I really cannot think of the other one right now. Goat cheese is just my choice. It is so good. Expensive but worth the price. I use it to stuff Zuchinni too.

thanks for such a nice recipe but here is another of my favourite recipes
Crockpot Artichoke Cheese Dip
This is by far the best artichoke dip I have ever had. I bring it to many potluck functions and people always ask how to make it.
