Are all of your photos in albums?

Until very recently, mine were scattered about my home just as you describe. I bought 2 huge pretty leather boxes at a home store while on vacation this summer. Into those boxes (which are about 1 foot deep by about 10 inches wide)I placed a divider down the middle. That gave me two 'rows.' I then separated pictures by topic...i.e, 'Xmas 04', 'dance recitals' etc. I took cardstock and made tabbed dividers with those topics on them and cut them so the tab would stick up higher than the pictures. My pictures are all in those two boxes!! I love it! I can go and pull just one set or take the whole box and sit down and show people what I want to show them! My daughter needed a quick picture for the highschool yearbook...she was able to quickly lay her hands on the exact picture as it was under the topic 'halloween.'

lol. Mine are all on the hardrives. hahaha.. I don't have photo albums, yet. For I'm still hoping to move somewhere where I could say this is my right home. For now, it's very handy to keep all of them in the hard drive. I have no problem like you, Jodi. But indeed I would when the time i right.

wouldn't that be nice! i have about 3 albums, and 2 great big boxes. its sad that i have let this happen! now that the kids are grown up and out of the house i am trying to separate pictures, and give some of them to them. that way i know they will take care of them. i am trying to get organized with the pictures. its easier now that you can take digital photos, and pick the ones you want to keep.

I dont have quiet that many years saved up yet but I do have literley 1000's of pictures. I am a fanatic I just cant seem to organize. I started buying stuff for scrapbooking, then I bought photo boxes and albums but i too have pictures in envelops,boxes,bags,I have been trying to gather them all and put them in one location, under my bed..Ill get to them eventually.

I have pics all over...boxes, drawers, bags and who knows where else. I have been married for 35 years and I am so far behind I wouldn't know where to start. I do have about 10m albums full but that isn't even a dent.

I have a large tote that has most of my pics in it, then I have hundreds on my computer!! I think it is time for me to get a few albums and start organizing. This should be fun!

Most of my photoes up until 2003 are in albums. then we got a digital camera. Now we have our photos on CDs, at an online photo-store, and on the computer. I really would like to get prints to go in albums, as i enjoy looking at albums alot. I enjoy that much more than looking at them on the computer. I also have quite a few in a drawer. Those are photos that have been given to us. they are also supposed to find a better home.
