Is this sentence enough?

Trevis Smith, a former Canadian soccar player, was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison. His crime, knowingly infecting two women with the HIV virus. He is filing an appeal. Do you all think that this sentence is enough? These women are now infected with a potentially deadly virus, and all he gets is 5 1/2 years. Doesn't seem enough to me?

It dosent seem like enough to me eather. He knowingly gave 2 woman a disease that could kill them! It should be more like attempted murder, or assult with a deadly weapon or something. That is terrible. Two womans lives are at risk here now, they will forever be changed by this... and he gets 5 years...

I do not think it is enough. He is intelligent enough to know what he was doing was wrong. If it was me, prison would not be good enough.

I do not feel it is enough since he knowingly infected them. I wonder if that could be considered a deadly weapon? I guess the gray area is if it was consensual, that does not dictate assault to be found. What was he charged and covicted of? I mean what was the law term used?

Defiantly not enough. I think he should be charged with attempted murder. He is basically playing god with these woman. It's sick.
