I'm using Vista Home Premium right now on my new laptop. As a computer technician I'm not too fond of it thus far. The latest Java Runtime Environment update is not compatible with one of Vista's drivers so not only do I have a compatibility error for a very common piece of software, I already have a Kernel Error as well because of it. It's easy to navigate though. There are some new semantics but if you are familiar with the ins and outs of XP then you won't have a problem finding your way around. I really wish Microsoft could have used their brainpower to put together a new and improved OS that wasn't such a processor and RAM hog. It just doesn't make any sense to me. One would think new software engineering discoveries would lead to a better OS that don't need as much beefed-up hardware.

I am having trouble adjusting to it. I am much more comfortable with the old windows. Hopefully, I will get use to it. Unfortunately, you don't have a choice, unless you don't upgrade, but eventually you will have to. Might as well get use to it now.

I see no reason to believe that people will ever have to upgrade to Vista. It could turn out to be a big flop like Windows Me. When the millenia craze was going on people kept saying "Oh you'll have to upgrade eventually". Most people were smart and avoided it and so it faded into obscurity.

I was given a Vista Premium pack a few weeks ago and all I can say is that it's not as good as win xp maybe because all of us have been used to win xp for more than 4 years now. Vista has a lot of compatibility issues.

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

I am much happy with my existing Windows OS.Windows Vista is good in the sense, if we talk about security features and look however it is resource hungry. Moreover most of the application are still not compatible with vista.
