This thread is for people living in Davao City, for people who wish to live in Davao City or for people curious about Davao City!
To start off, below are some of the places that I love in this city:
- all Merco branches (for the best leche flan there is!)
- Penong's (for the tastiest but reasonably priced roasted chicken and unlimited rice)
- Pearl Farm Resort (beautiful island resort)

A friend told me there are many Orchids Farm in Davao. I wish to visit Davao some day. I attended a PTA and the parents are arguing with the moderator about tourist spot. I want to give my piece of advice but I just kept silent. I want to tell them - explore the Philippines - before thinking going abroad.

Yes, there are lots of orchid farms here. The most notable of which is the Puentespina Garden. Any plans of coming over?

I am born and raised in Davao City and i do agree with you that Davao has a lot to offer to tourists. Aside from what you have mentioned, there are a lot of places where they can enjoy nature by visiting Eden, Lolengs, Malagos Garden Resort and of course the Philippine Eagle Park. When they want adventure they can go with water rafting. Davao also has the best white sand beaches in Samal Island. Aside from these, Davao is really a peaceful place to live and this is one thing every Davaeño should be proud of.

I was raised in Davao and studied there (HCDC) -- we live specifically in Ilang (where the cement factory is). Davao got so many beautiful and interesting places to visit. You might as well include the Puentespina orchid Farm in Baguio District, the Philippine Eagle reserve in Calinan, the Paradise Beach at Samal, the Eden Garden at Toril and so much more.

My friend toured us there and I had a grand time. It's like a dream. :D
We went to JACK'S RIDGE upon arrival that night. It has a nice view overlooking Davao.
On Day 1, we went to CHEMAS BY THE SEA. It's like a private island and not that expensive. I like the cabanas where we stayed in. It looked so romantic to me.
On Day 2, we had a day tour in PEARL FARM. We had a hearty buffet lunch. Yum! The beach was full of starfishes and small fishes and white sand. Too bad we didnt have enough time to try the water rides and spa.
On Day 3, we went to CROCODILE FARM for white water rafting. It was exhilerating! Fun, fun, fun!
The last day, we went to EDEN PARK and bought some pasalubongs. I suggest you try some fruit candies, durian, grapefruit/pomelo.
Another good thing about Davao is that it is near General Santos (where Pacquiao lives) and it is a plane ride away from Palau Island.
