Originally I am from St. Louis, Mo. Joined the Air Force and traveled to a few different places, Texas, Colorado, Florida then got stationed in Turkey, from there I went to North Dakota where is the place that I was released from the service. I had served my time in the service and it was time to move on to something different. I stayed there awhile than went to Kentucky and finally landed in Illinois. I plan on being here in the city I live in for quite a while. I like the place. It is quiet and I work in the same city. So right now I live in Mascoutah, Illinois.

Wow, sunshinelady it certainly sounds like you've been doing some travelling with the air force. One way to see some of the countryside for sure. Nice that you've found a place where you can be happy.
Nice to meet you!!

Well, I'm from a very small town called Rochelle, Georgia. We have two traffic lights. I live in my parents' cabin on a pond surrounded by pine trees. We are living there until we build...they start the foundation on my new home in the next two weeks. I'm really excited.

I live in Ocala,FL,i used to live in Manahawkin,New Jersy. my neighborhood is a small one where i live, the only traffic we get here is the local people who live in the park here. when we do our shopping we have to go into town for that or what ever else we need.i love where i live, before i alway's had a lot of traffic on the street where i lived in New Jersey.

Hi butterflydawn, I live in a small village in Essex, UK - only 400 people here. We have farm land all round us, little fields with hedgerows and lots of wildlife. The dawn chorus is really getting into swing now and is an orchestra of bird song - lovely.
The sea is about 12 miles away where I keep my 147 year old sailing boat and work is already under way preparing for the new sailing season.
Nice part of the world to live.

Sounds beautiful smaksman. Must be nice to live my the sea and be able to go out sailing. I love living in smaller communities, with farm land and nature all around.

I currently live in Norman, Oklahoma (USA), home of Oklahoma University's Boomer Sooners. I've always wondered why we didn't have some kind of "thing" for a mascot. I have yet to meet an actual "Sooner."
But I digress. I've lived in California and I've lived in different cities IN Oklahoma, but I've never been happier than where I am now.

I'm originally from Kendall, a suburb of Miami, Florida. Currently, I'm living in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio with my partner, caring for her aging parents.
A lot of people ask why I moved to Ohio from sunny South Florida, but the fact is, for one, her parents needed us. For another, I never wanted to live in Florida all my life, anyway! I actually prefer the changing seasons. LOL!

I must admit I prefer the changing seasons as well. Caring for aging parents is a good thing.
