I definitely prefer the country. I only live 10 miles either way from my home town and where my husband works in a larger (not big) town. I love the openness, the trees, the sounds (except for the coyotes), no close neighbors (except my parents and grandmother live across the pond dam), we live in a cabin on a pond (I love to fish).

I have lived not far from a big city almost all my life. Now that we have moved to a slow little country town, I love it. It is like they roll the streets up at 8PM. It is quiet, and the people I have met are really nice folks. Everyone waves as you ride by, that never happens in the city. It is a small community, so it seems that everyone knows everyone else, and they care about the community. They care what happens around town and with its people. I would not trade it for the world, my only regret is we didn't move here sooner.
