Should I mark "BEST RESPONSE" for each of the discussions I Start.

No, I don't think so. If your discussion only has a few responses, and none of them is worth of marking as best response, than, we should definitely not mark that topic, and hopefully, wait for the best response to appear. What do others think?

The only time I ever marked a best response was when someone really went above and beyond in their responses. I don't feel obliged to do so, and I don't take too much stock in how others rate their best responses. It's not a competition.

As the person who started the discussion, I feel it is just right that you should mark the "best response." In fact, it is almost like a responsibility on your part, to pass judgement on the quality of responses you received, and to show appreciation to the person who actually took the time to give your discussion some thought and decided to post a quality answer. It would also be nice if you would rate each individual response, just as a gesture of gratitude to them for picking your topic and contributing a response. Just remember, to give your discussion sufficient time to generate responses before you select the "best response." Be aware that once you have picked one, you cannot change that even if you received a better answer at a later time. Play it by ear and once you feel your discussion is no longer getting any more responses, then you can go ahead and mark your best response. I'm sure the people who responded to your posts are waiting.

So you decide what you get out of it..lol I believe best response earns the person that left the response more money and I think it affects your rating but I'm not sure...any way here is what mylot says.
