I always bring a book for me to read. But most of all, if i can find any reading material on the places i am visiting, i am sure to read the magazine, etc. on the aircraft too. Any other tips? Like things you bring..

Oh, i've got a few friends from the flights travelling. They come from all over the globe. However, i've to admit that they were the ones who started the conversations first.

I don't bring anything special when I fly a long journey. I know that there will be music channels over the radio, movies over the TV and some magazines to read. Oh, I once took some knitting with me for a long fly.

I always play music when on planes or read the mags. Sometimes I bring my own, but when I am not in the mood I'd rather read the plane's mag. Never had a long journey though, the longest was only 3 hours flight.

The biggest airliner ever built swooped in for its US debut Monday, drawing hundreds of gawkers on opposite coasts as two test flights of the double decker airbus A380 made back to back landings in new york and los angels. The dual arrivals marked the launch of an American road show that will showcase the troubled jumbo jet, which carries a list price of $300 million. it's two years behind delivery schedule because of wiring problems and a series of management crises at airbus, the commercial airplane division of european aeronautic defence and space or eads. airbus will deliver its first A380s to singapore airlines in Oct.,with commercial service expected to start by the end of this year.

We take a book and buy a magazine at the airport. We also take a deck of cards and a little hand held game of yahtzee and take turns playing to see who gets the higher score.. We travelled from Australia to Iceland and back doing this and we held up fine. Though the plane we got home was beautiful - it had personal tv system for everyone person.. Got to love that!

I read newspapers and books on flights. I also watched movies as well as play games available. I write letters and postcards to family and friends so that they know they are always on my mind even when i'm away. I always make sure to carry my PSP on long journey so that i won't be bored. I can play games as well as listen to musics or watch movies.

I have been overseas and when I was on the plane I would have my book or books readily handy. I also brought my portable CD player and my CD's . Those two things were always a must. I love to read and love to listen to music so here I am on a plane with nothing but time on my hands. I definitely take advantage of that and lay back and enjoy my book and put on my favorite music. This is a match made in heaven since I don't have time generally to do these things.

How true it is. We don't usually have the luxury of time to do so. This is the best opportunity for us to do these things.

I like to bring books with me, or a laptop, but books are more important. I also read the airline mags etc, but they get dull fast. I also nap on the plane. It's been a few years, but I hear a lot of airlines are starting to put TV's with satalite connections at each seat for people to watch, so that can pass the time too.

I buy magazines on the airport so I can read them during flight. My iPod is an indispensable companion as well.
