How far are relatives important to you?

I'm having same set of thinking as u. I think, nowadays, relatives r part of our life just because they r related by blood relation. (Some may be exeption). I too give preference to my friends n others who r close to me but not relatives. Many times we have to show off in front of relatives that we have lots of love for them, it may be or not. It doesn't mean I hate them, some of them r nice....n some ...just made me to think why I'm having them in my life?...lol

I love my family but they cause me more trouble, more pain than they're worth honestly. Because they're family I'll always crave their acceptance, always wish they thought well of me..but because they are who they are, they often don't do either..which has hurt me worse than much else. So I consider this a weakness and not something exactly good for me. They've begun to realize their error with me, and are trying to correct it..but it's too late to undo all the damage. I value my friends over anyone else. I'd protect them with my life. And I can honestly say I would give anything for them.

My relatives are close to me because they are good and we have good family value and a family orriented.every Chirstmas we have family reunion to intouch good relationship..

I am not close to my relatives but somehow the bonding of relatives is different from our friends. It would be nice to jam with them because we are in a one blood while friends you can't distinguish which is real and which is not.
