MARK BEST RESPONSE... what does this mean?

When i post a discussion, i see this 'Mark Best Response'. I guess, only the one who post a discussion may choose the best response, right. Other users can only rate positive or negative. Do i really have to choose one from the responses i get? What happens if i choose the best response? Does that increase the earning of the user who gets the best response?

Yes only the one starts the discussion gets to choose the best response. You can mark one solely based on your discretion. It is good to choose best responses because then you will be appreciating the one who responds. Earnings increase for the one who gets a best response marked. So think before you mark one, the one who deserves it should get it.
