I was in Kodambakkam and i feel the land mark is satyam theatre. Chennai is very good place to live with good beaches and temples and very good shopping maals. It has many theme parks to spend our time with the family in the weekends.

Hi I am a resident of Chennai and I live in Thiruvanmiyur. My landmark in Chennai would be Besant Nagar Beach. This is where you can see people from all walks of life congregate in a rare of mixture of the young, old, conservative, modern, men, women and even pets. If you are a person interested in studying people, this is the place to be. Chennai has this rare character of being both modern and conservative. This is probably in the only city in India where you can find men in Jeans and also in Dhoti. This is probably the only place in the world where you can find girls clad in trousers and shirt with jasmine flowers on their hair. Even in the food items you can get both traditional and modern food. Chennai still maintains the traditional cultural activities like Classical Music Festivals, Drama Festivals and Dance Festival. Its probably only in Chennai that you can find the same girl dressed in Jeans to college and in Half-Saree to the temple or marriage. I wish Chennaites will not leave the old and traditional, but also will catch with the most modern. While being a city of ancient temples, churches and mosques, Chennai also happens to be the IT center of India.
