Do you prefer your friends to buy you a birthday card or send one via email?

I'd prefer to receive birthday cards in the post box, because you can deeply appreciate the trouble that my friends spent in choosing the appropriate card, wrote their best greetings with beautiful handwritings, sometimes adding a few funny stickers, and take the trouble to post out the cards. I can feel so much warmth and concern, and would never forget such a friend. How about you?

Thanks for your post. Yes email greetings are fine as long as they write something, not just blank e-cards.

I wouldn't mind either as long as they send me one...LOL I know a card sent through the mail means more and conveys more but an e-card works just fine for me too. Some are not in the habit of choosing cards and and sending them through the mail. So an e-card is the best option. I send both too, an e-card as well as a card in the mail.:)

Anyday I would prefer getting a real card to an e-card. Its more personalised and looks more thoughtful!
