Are cartoon movies good for 3 years old? Can you suggest a cartoon movie that is good for children. I am collecting for my 3 year old son.

I also have a 3 year old son and have started buying him Disney movies...with Disney you pretty much know there aren't going to be any situations that are inappropriate for children, so they're safe. (Unlike some of the stuff on TV these days.) Anyway, I buy movies about things he is interested in, such as construction, cars, and dinosaurs. He also likes Aladdin, Toy Story, Monsters Inc., and The Lion King.

My son loves Dora too and Spongebob. But one thing that really gets his attention is the cartoon "Tom and Gerry". He likes that.

We collect Disney movies. Our favorites are Lion Kings, Princess's, Toy Story and The Fox and the Hound. We own so many but those are the most watched. My kids also enjoy Dora and love those PBS shows.

I think cartoon movies are good for 3 year olds. That is the time when they begin to be curious. I start collecting Disney movies when my child is two. I suggest you start with the Winnie the Pooh collection because they are easy to understand, they are simple but quite delightful. Get also some classics like Dumbo, Bambi, Aristocats, Pinochio and 101 Dalmatians. Why don't you look at the Disney website to see what movies are available.

I guess most of the animated movies have a very nice theme to them which I think would be very useful for the children's values and growth. I'll show this with the example of the famous pixar animated movie finding nemo. When I saw the movie I read it when they got fascinated by the storyline. It is not only touch the children's how they can be brave and make their parents proud but also showed apparent is how they should take care of the children which in a way is a very nice thing to achieve. In one movie you're communicating your one message to both the generations and that also with such beauty. Even if you look and analyse the character of the turtle then you realise that he was a kind of benchmark or an ideal person which the filmmakers thought,.. And it this I think the children's should watch animated movies.
