What is your biggest phobia?

Exactly above. Mine is cockroaches. Absolutely cannot handle roaches. Any other bug, spider, snake, etc. is fine. I'm more than happy to take these other creepy-crawlys out to the garden when they get caught up in the human world, and make sure they're safe. Cockroaches I won't touch at all. I put a container over the top of it to trap it, and wait for a visitor to deal with! What are your biggest phobias, and how do you deal with them?

Cats? Wow! I always thought they were kind of friendly... And I love heights! There's a great thing you can do in Sydney, where you can walk on the outside of Centrepoint Tower! You're tied to the railing, of course, so you can't fall! I'm really keen on trying that one day!

Interestingly, my phobias didn't develop until late in life! Only recently have I become deathly afraid of heights and small, closed spaces. Neither of these bothered me until my late 40's. I had hiked a certain mountain many times in my life and recently my family went back there to my home state and we were going to take the kids to the mountain to hike. We were driving up to the place where cars can park before beginning the hike and I thought my heart was coming out of my chest it was beating so fast! I actually had a panic attack and had to get out of the car! I actually hate these phobias because I get scared on elevators now (and I never used to) and I used to love to hike mountains!

That is such a bugger! It's strange that it only developed after you had had many experiences of hiking previously! And same with the elevators! Do you know if there was anything to make it start? Or has it just been since that time you talked about?

I hate cockroaches too. I'll touch then only if I'm under anaesthetic. :) I once found one in my plate, I screamed like crazy! :)

I don't know what I'd do in that case! I know I am really bad, and if I find one in a place where I can pour boiling water on them, I'll do exactly that! Apparently they can't sweat, so when they heat up, they die. Whatever the method, they certainly do die when you heat them up. Yeeeeeuuuuuuuuk!!

I actually don't mind spiders. I am sad when people kill spiders instead of taking them houtside to the garden. But then again, I don't complain when I kill a cockroach. I guess we all have our own phobias!

You've actually seen rats in your closet, eating your clothes?! *shock* Wow! I've never seen a rat in any of the places I've lived. Only mice at one of my old workplaces. Actually, one mouse. He didn't last long once the broom came out. Poor mouse. I don't think I'd like the rats in my closet idea, either. Thankfully I've never been in that situation!

Mine is insects specially worms, I can't stand seeing them. I feel horrible for just seeing them. I wish it can be normal like others about that case someday but I don't think so.
