I would like to give up smoking, but I could not be successful, i cannot resist the craving after few days and then i start lighting up a cigarette. I reckon smoking is not good for health especially it will make my teeth dirty and stink..,
anyone have effective ways to help me to quit smoking?

Try to quit slowly. Like if you usually smoke a pack a day limit yourself to 15 sticks per day and gradually decrease it until eventually you won't crave for it as much.
I used to smoke a pack a day but now i only smoke "ocassionally" LOL

Have you tried Nicorette gum or Nicorett patches?
Often if you eat instead of smoking, you'll just gain weight. One thing I DO NOT recommend is hypnotherapy. That is risky because usually it does not work, and you have also opened up your mind for someone to use it how they see fit.
Good luck, wanting to quit is the first step!

I've never smoked and so I don't know how to help you, but the reason why I never started smoking was just what you say, when I was 15 I tried with some friends of mine, but I stopped suddenly because I couldn't stand my fingers and my teeth dirty and stink. However there are more important reasons for what stopping to smoke, it isn't good for your health and for the health of people who live with you or near you.
So, dear easy 888, I know it isn't easy, but you have to try, it's too important for your health, fo the health of people around you, and for.... your teeth too....

"Quitting smoking is so easy that I have quit it so many times" goes a funny quote from somebody. It just goes to prove that not only is quitting smoking difficult, but people who quit almost always go back to it, like criminals who go back to their old ways after a few days of roughing it out, the honest way. The only way you can really give up smoking, and that too, for good is that you really have to feel that you have to quit it. Stop seeing it as something that you use relax. Stop associating it with anything good. Stop associating it with pleasure. I know how it feels. I have had trouble quitting it in the past too, but I have good news. I have finally made up my mind, once and for all, and have quit smoking. I'm also doing yoga and breathing exercises to completely quell the urge to quit, things that you could try too, but the moot point is this: As long as you tend to associate smoking with something positive like relaxation or pleasure, you cannot quit it. Even if you do, you will come back. Wish you luck!

Nothing has worked for me yet. I have the same problem. I just can't give it up.
Some people have had success with the patches and others with gum. Neither of these have worked for me. I have heard there is even hypnosis. I've never tried that.
A friend of mine quit smoking after several years by only drinking water. He drank alot of water. I guess it flushed the nicotine out of his system. The only side affect. He was pissing all the time.

The best way to give up smoking is to do it with another smoker. That way there is a competition not to give up so easily. There should also be a non-smoker referee to referee the race. Also go to the internet and find a picture of the inside of a smoker's lungs. You'll be grossed out you will more determined to quit smoking.

Well the only thing that is truely helpful to quit smoking is willpower.
Yes, Willpower is the thing that you need to use and I can certainly say that you CAN quit smoking if you want to if you just set your willpower right.
Just keep it in mind and when ever a thought comes to your mind about taking a smoke, say a big no to yourself and get involved in some activity that will take your mind off smoking.
Wish you all the best.

There is a dietary supplement called Jade Greenzyme which not only helps you stop smoking (it helps with the addictive effects) it also cleans your body from poisons created by smoking.
After helping many people in that area, I understood that adopting a haelthy life style, without trying to prevent anything from yourself, will eventualy cause you to stop the bad habbits by itself.
I believe that one can learn what not to do, by doing what should be done. For an instance - I don't try to stop eating junk food, I just eat healthier food, and the need for junk food just disapear... it is amazing.
When you prevent your body something he is used to and likes, it enters to a "defensive stance" and fights your concious mind to make you loose the fight...
If you adopt new and good habbits and apply them regularly, it is inevitable that the bad ones will cease.
This is my philosophy, and it has worked thus far.
