Which guitar player is better Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughan?

Well as you can tell by my username srvOhio...I think Stevie Ray Vaughan is the best. But Stevie would say that Jimi Hendrix was the best because he was a fan of Jimi. But for me personally Stevie blows me away every time I watch a video of him playing. I watch Jimi play and I am not impressed...that's just my viewpoint. They had a poll they did here on a rock station people had to vote who was the best rock guitarist and if I remember correctly Jimi Hendrix was #1 and Stevie was around #35.

Jimi Hendrix was without a doubt a better guitar player than Stevie Ray Vaughan. Stevie wished he could play like Jimi.

I like both players too but I prefer Hendrix. Hendrix paved the way for the SRVs and even the malmsteens. I prefer Hendrix not just for his guitar playing but for his voice and songs as well. When it comes to guitar-playing skills, I don't really think it's an appropriate comparison since both are really good guitar players but still I prefer hendrix since he served as an inspiration for most if not all players, SRV included.
