Is it bad or being a hypocrite if you pretend to like a person even if you don't really like her just for the sake of maintaining peace in the office.

no it is not bad. there are things that are better left unsaid, and same is true with actions. some actions are better left unshown. if having to pretend will actually avoid trouble and maintain peace,then you should have to do that. honesty is the best policy but in every rule there is always an exception. if you can swallow your pride and still smile at that person then do it, rather that speaking up and arguing with that person.

I think most people do that at some point. Weigh the options, prentend so you can have peace, or tell her what you think and start a war?
