Do you care to use the DRS on mylot?

I mean the "Discussion rating system", that is to mark positive or negative or an abuse.
I have started doubting nowadays nobody bothers to do any DRS marking when they respond or add comments to others responses.
Because I have recieved almost more than 300 responses
in last thirty five days and I have responded to
550 discussions started by others, but my star is
still showing the same digit as "9" only.
When am I going to see it as ten?

I use the discussion rating system and I hope others rate me also. My star jumped from a 6 to an 8. I believe mylot only changes your star once a month. My star changed on the 20th of February. It has stayed the same. I expect it to change again on March 20. I am just speculating but that seems to be the way it is.

I'm not sure how it works, I'm gathering that if you have ever made a response or asked a question that someone has found offensive then you'll stay below a ten, Of cause I don't care about my ranking, I just like being able to voice my opinion, and that seems to work for me, Just stop caring about it so much and the star will rise.

Wasn't to terribly worried about the stars and the ratings
Glad to find a lot more information though Sure is helpful
Besides I just noticed that I have 7 star that wasn't there before
Now I am on cloud nine LOL Wohoooooooo Gotta love it

Dear SunSix I think you have ignored to read the FAQ IN MYLOT.
When you have a faq as.....
"What is the Discussion Rating System? "
The 5th line reads as.....
"The DRS is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community."
It says "FACTORED INTO OUR PROPRITORY EARNINGS ALGORITHM."
I think I was precise!

This is what I wanted to say in my discussion over here. Your friends are not caring to rate you positive
or nothing.
Unless they rate you positive you are to hang
on to this "8."
As such 8 is good enough.
Don't worry I am a kind man, I shall bless you

I do not pay attention to DRS quite often unless I note some comment is really very specail.i mean too good or too bad. At this time I will use DRS. Of course. most often I gave + to people here.

I use it all the time to rate postings How do you know it is working or not? Can you check the ratings of your own posts? Where if you can?
Definitley listening
As I am fairly new and still haven't reached alot of posts it makes it hard to see or understand why some have numbers in their stars. Oh heck I guess that is the ratings right? Sorry for being obtuse Still on my first coffee LOL
Musta took forever to reach that number of posts Wow have I ever got along way to go

The integer in the braces is your rating
or the points you earned on mylot.
But the integer what you see inside the star
is your reputation in mylot which depends upon
the liking of users, that how much you are admired
or cared here on mylot in short, this even predicts
your quality of writing too, And is also somewhere
related to your earning indirectly I think.

i too agree with u that there r lots of people here who r not paying attention to the DRS system(as u call it). it's since few days that i m stuck on this 8 rating of mine(though i don't care much about it;)) but i m doing an experiment these days by responding to most of those discussion which have been started by 'old users' of my lot as they r more reliable to rate u i guess. as u see i have just crossed my 100 posts and the rating i got at the start was only 6 but then it became 8 only in a day:)by the way i never forget to rate people who respond to my posts and also my friends.i have given u ratings on ur this post hope u'll reach 10 pretty soon with this little help of me and other well wishers here on mylot:)
