When my children were at home, I devoted the majority of my time to them. My husband has always worked out of town, so when he was home, we spent time together.
Recently, we moved closer to the Bay and my family and friends live about 100 miles away. My husband is still working out of town, so I am alone most of the time.
I did get a job, and I also helped start a tax and bookkeeping business, but all the other time, I spend on the computer.
I do my bills, shopping, and relaxing online.
When my children come over, or my husband is home, I do not usually get on the computer.

Hi simran1430, (sorry for my late comment) you arrange your time quite nicely so you can spend your time equally with both your family and computer.
Yeah, it is true that computer is really our best companion while we are alone at home. We ought to enjoy our happy family life when we are gathering together.

I spend most of my time on the computer, as I don't really have anything else to do, apart from coursework...
My mother's always busy, and when we talk, we end up fighting -- so I don't really see the point of making an effort any more -- I won't say we don't get along at *all*, but we hit rock bottom regularily.

I make a perfect balance between computer and my family members as i use computer in night timings only so, there will not be any disturbaence with both the schedules, but still some times there will be a clash between two and sometimes computer wins the race, and ofcourse most time i spent on my website designing and remaining time is spent on mylot, the addictive of all sorts of work.
and sometimes its the family that matters a lot what ever the work i have i just leave it and share a little time with my family members so that they should also feel happy and inturn they can cooperate with me when i am really busy with online work.

I spend most of the time together with my family to make them happy. I give only two hours a day to my computer coz it won't felt unhappy even I spend majority of the time together with my family.

During working hour, i do not have much choice so i need spend almost 6 hours per day with my computer, to carry out daily task and communicate through emails. When i am home, i would rather stay with my family members. But unfortunately, ever since i involved in online games & mylot, i spend a little more time with the computer. Because the online game event is running 7/24 and have to login to manage the resource from time to time, to prevent resource overflow (it's a waste) and to counter enemy attack.

Hi jesbellaine, nowadays most of our works plus surfing net have to depend on computer, of course we need to sit in front of the computer for quite a long period.
It's normal that we need a lot of sleeping during our off days. I could imagine how happy and enjoyable you and your cousin, siblings eating popcorns and pizza while watching movies.

Yup you are correct! Thank goodness that most of the time when I go home, I don't have any paperworks to finish so that I can spend quality time with family. :)

Computer, because my parents have really short fuses, so spending too much time with them can only result in an argument. If I am with my boyfriend, I spend more time with him than on the computer or we are on our separate laptops together if we need to get work done.

Hi Elixiress, I understand that you want don’t want to have any argument with your parents so you rather prefer to spend much time sitting in front of the computer.
Well, I do prefer to spend most of the time with my dad as my mom tends to have short fuse and easier to get annoyed with others.

I tend to spend more time with my Mam than my Dad, because he doesn't get pissed off if he rarely sees me, whereas my Mam sometimes starts complaining.

Wow! 12 hours sitting in front of the computer. It’s half of a day you know, my dear friend! Here I earnestly hope that you could spare some time for doing some physical exercise. I believe you could do more mylotting after having exercise as it could make you refreshed and energetic.

nope the old computer's got me right where it wants me sitting here and mylotting like crazy. But I am not ignoring my son as he is also sitting in front of his computer doing his own thing so to each his own. I have been on here all day and am hoping to pick up some points.I have seen some really good discussions and am looking for more. lol

I have no choice but to spend almost all of my time here in the computer for the whole day, especially if there are computer works that i need to do. I have a daughter and if i can manage my computer shop very well, i was able to take care of her at the same time.
When i need some rest, i ask my brother or sister to take in charge.

Hi alexigne, you always spend most of your time busy with the work in your computer shop. I hope you could manage the shop well and could have spare time to take care of your daughter who needs parent to accompany her most. Anyhow you are still lucky as you could get your dear siblings to relieve you when you need some rest.

Definately on the computer, although I do chat to my brother online most of the time... I think when you get to a certain age you don't really spend all that much time with your family members because you don't have the same interests and you don't know the same people anymore. and the computer is something that helps us meet new people and keep ourselves entertained. But some times are and must be dedicated for family... such as lunch time, dinner, visiting grandparents, christmas, birthdays etc

You are right rombi, I do spend more time on my computer. Other than using the computer to do my part time work I spend most of the time surfing net especially doing mylotting. It is really lots of amusement to meet new friends, to learn new knowledge and to acquire latest information from internet. Yeah, just same as you, anyhow we still have to eke out some time for our loved ones and friends. Happy posting and bye.
