I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you on this.... At the same time, I am giving more "-" to stupid nonsens posts/discussions and even deleting a few friends who do this all the time!

Why not i have replied to some already i will make it my mission with you! I know when i started it was the first few posts it does get easier and they feel like there not alone and we are all to busy to respond

Count me in Yanji, I have been working on newbie discussions since your last war declaration..lol It is a good thing to help new users.

Sure. I have no problem at all with that. I encourage newbies to ask for our friendship as well so we can be able to respond to their discussions. Every time I see a new person and see a topic they have posted that I can relate to, I ask for their friendship. If they post to any of my discussions, I will ask their friendship also. We are all here to help each other, but it is hard sometimes to see all new people that just came in and their discussions. If any new people are out there and need a good friend, please send me a request. Thanks.

I try, I really do. But so many of the newbies post discusions like "I like blue. Do you like blue?" How can you respond to that without being mean. I will try. I will make it my mission to find decent newbie posts....if I'm not back in one hour, send in the reserves and consider me MIA.

Can I tell the truth. I reply to more newbies than friends because my friends always have so many respnses and everything has been said by the time I get here.

Thanks for the idea yanji. I think I will do so too but last thing discussions shold be good quality. I would like to see newbies with fresh ideas contributing to mylot in a more positive way. I am thinking of advising them through PM's. if they falter . count me in. lol.

I'm right behind you, You have inspired me to help out a good cause =-) Its hard starting out on here and can be very disheartening when you excitedly make your first posts only to receive little to no replies, so i think this is a great idea!! Im off to find my 5 to respond to right this minute

What a good idea, I really like it. I was already trying to remember to post on newbie discussions but it's refreshing to see that someone else is also thinking about that. Count me in :)

Thank you! Yanjiaren champion of newbs! I've a surplus of discussions with about 0-3 response/s. I hope people will be responding to them soon, I'm also doing my best to browse through new user discussions before I let myself get immersed in the hot topics. I've added as friends the people whose discussions I've responded to but so far no one has approved me yet. boohoo ;( May our fellow mylotters follow your lead!

It is an old discussion, but I am responding to it now. I do regularly seek out new users, zero responses, and new and recent discussions. It helps keep things fresh.

Whenever I get the chance to reply to new user's discussion I do respond to them. And also I go to new user disussion section to respond to newbies every now and then. But the thing is that it is little hard to find good quality discussion there. So, sometime I get a chance to give more then five response but sometime less.

I was hter about 5 this am, havent had a whole lot of time here today but I am here and battling along side !

I have tried since becoming a member to each day find newbies that are in need of assistance on how it all works here. I don't know if I answer 5 a day, sometimes it's less sometimes more. I will make an effort to search out at least 5 discussions from newbies everyday. We were all newbies once and it's nice to feel that you are helping on the right path here. I congratulate you on your efforts and hope that many more will join in the efforts. :)

I will try, but as some others have mentioned, they are almost always silly. Or they are duplicates. I prefer responding to people that have a lot of posts and experience under their belts because they are less likely to be deletd down the road.

I would love to but are unsure what a newbie looks like I have only been on here a week and Im guessing its the number at the side of everybodys name and if this is the case then I have had a fair amout of responses that I have answered for new comers. If this isnt the case I dont no where to find out who is new or not and are then just responding to interesting conversations.
