For me, it is off to chat. I check my posts to rate and read everyone. I look at my best responses to thank them. Then I am off to chat as much as I can. How about you?

In the beginning, the lure was earning money for posting. But
after exposure to the site, it took on a completely different
allure. There is so much going on here, this is an international neighborhood. And we are for the most part getting along and sharing many different events in our lives.
Where else can you get all of this...now I am here to chat and learn...SS

As I am retired and have no intention of going back to work, for me it is a matter of "off to visit my friends for a chat". Certainly we can earn money here, and that is the cream on the cake, so to speak. Personally I cannot see how anyone could earn a living from myLot, unless of course they had a lot of very active referrals. These sort of sites do not pay enough money, even if you spent 24 hours/day here, to class it as a living. I suppose though that in some of the poorer countries that even $20 US would go a long way. However, I can tell you that here in Australia, it is not even enough to half fill the car with fuel. :)
I noticed in one of your comments (think to feralwoman) that you said about the time you have here. This is a tip that might help you a little bit on that score. A friend of mine belongs to another forum and she is also short of time, but what she does is do a copy of the discussions that are started and puts them onto her computer. Then as and when she gets the time, she makes a response to each of them. This means that when she gets online, she simply does a cut and paste for the response and according to her she can actually make about 3 times the number of posts as she can do when she is actually typing directly online. She has only so many hours per month with her ISP, so doing it this way saves her heaps of time apparently.
She was telling me that when she finds 5 minutes free time, or while she is having a cuppa, she just types out the response ready for when she gets online. It is worth considering and might allow you to get more posts in, if that is your aim that is. :)

That is really a great idea Ossie, one that I will definitely
think about acting on. But right now my biggest problem is that I am using dial up. I will be changing to cable during
the summer, but for now everything is 'so doggone slow'. I
think once I switch over that also will make a tremendous
difference in what I can accomplish in a day. Thanks for the heads up though...SS

I view it as "off to chat" SS. First thing I do when I get up is check my inbox and see if anyone's started any discussions - usually loads of them! I try and reply to most of them, but I have to use my time wisely as I have heaps of other things I should be doing throughout the day. I really enjoy my time on myLot! lol

I have a real problem with time management, I have recently
created a log for things that I need to address daily.
I enjoy visiting this community, but I really need to set time limits so that I can get everything I need to do...done.
And it is so easy to lose track of time while posting here
in MyLot. A kitchen timer is really what I need, I just might
get one...lol...thanks for the post...SS

Definitly 'off to chat'.
The amount we get paid here is nice to have but not what I would call a living. But every little helps and if you can earn $10 here and another ten on another site, and so on, it all adds up.
Best to look upon it as a little extra bonus for having fun!

And if you use what you earn to treat yourself to
something fun like lunch or a movie, that kindof
adds an extra bunch to your earnings...thanks for
the post...SS
