Some Foods are inherently bad for you

Too much of anything isn't good for you. Eat three meals a day of broccoli and you're probably going to get sick. Gorging only on snake goods likewise is a bad idea. But foods like potato chip, which most of us enjoy, can still have a place in our diet. Categorising a food as inherently bad is unnecessary. Any eating healthily doesn't mean cutting out all your favourite foods, it's just about getting the balance right. If you add a bit of variety by changing what you usually eat, you'll also get lots of opporunity to experiment. Remember, healthy eating can be tasty, exciting and exotic.

I recently watched a doc.about this grossly overweight man in usa somewhere & all he ate was about 30 odd oranges or so every day,but because he was'nt getting enough of the right nutrients he just ballooned right out of proportion!,They even had to use lifting devices to transport him from place to place, now that's what i call an unhealthy diet!!!

Thanks for your opinion.....You are right when you didn't get the right amount of proportion to your body this will led to unhealthy and can really make you fat enough. It is necessary that each and everthing that we eat should be in the proportion. Its nice that u have shared your knowledge of the doc.

I completely agree with you. Alot of diets fail because they tell you that you cannot have a certain beloved food ever again.
I am in the process of trying to lose 20+ pounds. I have consulted my doctor and he told me almost the same thing you ave written. He advised that it is all about portion size and balance. Something I have never been good at is the balance part. Of course you actually do need to exercise for any plan to work but to lose weight and keep it off a diet will not work. You have to retrain your mind to achieve the right balance in what you eat.

Thanks for the comment...It is really good to hear from you that you are eager to reduce your weight... But u will realize that it is easy to gain wieght rather than losing it. Once upon a time we used to eat food simply because we liked it. Now we buy into diet plabs such as Atkins and South Beach, and fill our grocery carts with fish, almonds, orange juice fortified with Vitamin D and other foods we think are healthy.Somewhere in between, however, people are lsoing touch with the baic joys of the table. To blame? Our puritan roots, perhaps. Or, new information about the nutrition-related causes of illiness like heart disease.
