do really people give 10% of their salary to the charity???

I know some of my friends who do this every month after getting their salaries.
i really wonder seeing them.even i want to do that.i wanna start giving some amount to charity every month. if anybody is not interested in doing so i have an idea that is "dont eat anythig for one complete day and give that food which you dont eat for that day to one poor man who cant eat spending money". it will be a great help to them i think. actually i have read this in a book and am just telling you. we'll help the poor people.

There are really such people and one big group is Christians who need to pay tithe to the church. Others may choose to donate a fixed amount of money to charities.
Here's a thought - every time you feel like splurging, save that money instead. Add up these small amounts and donate them all to your favorite charity.
In fact, you can make it a hobby of sort - get excited by scouting for one charity to donate to each month. ;-)
