What stops Indian cricket from being the best in the world?

The fever of world cup is on. There are lot of expectations from the Indian cricket team. do you think India can win this world cup? on what basis? indian team hasn't shown good performance in the recent past. what do you think stops the indian cricket from being the best in the world?

well india definetly has got that star power o paper so if that paper things start working in carribian then well india is in with a strong chance more over as learnt pitches are going to slow down as the cup progresses so our leathal weapon mr kumble and party wil hav a song thier. well what stops us from being best in world is one difrent people from difrnt culture and difrnt languages in one team 2nd polotics in chosing players 3rd most of them are veggitarian, well must be laughing but its fact look at australians who are into more of beef and all the bears cos of that only they are too strong and last 4th is climatic conditions

thnx for liking my passion and trust me instead of getting motivators if we can manage to keep away demotivators then also we would be coming home with cupfor eg what dilip vengsarkar did by making it public that he didnt wanted sehwag in. is he thinking that it is going to motivate him or team or wht?)

Every top class cricket team will eventually have it's day.
India has so much respect in Australia, it makes for a very big crowd at games held in Australia. They are very much respected as a cricket team.
I love to watch a game with India and Australia.
I would also love to visit India and watch a game of cricket.

seems like india's world cup dream is fading away as at this moment india is nine down. Its very dissapointing! its damn sure india is not going to make to the super eight even. bad luck.

Hey, I wish all the best to Pakistan team. I heard Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif are ruled out of Pakistan's World Cup squad. the decision came minutes before the team's departure to the Caribbean. Asif is down with an elbow injury while Shoaib is nursing a crocked knee..in that case I think the Pak team has to work harder to achieve success. what you say?

unrevealed, your answer to the question is very short and it looks like Pakistan's hope of winning the world cup is just as short. Hey, what happened against Ireland, who is playing their first ever world cup. Sorry Pakistan, I think you blew it this year, maybe it is still aftershock from the beating in South Africa. ya but pakistan is the only team who always perform well when people say they are not strong as far as shoaib is concerned he is not playing regularly from pakitan since 2003 and asif comes last year pakistan beat england westindies india srilanka witout them hope for the best

well i feel india can win the world cup even after their loss to bangladesh and they have a pretty good chance if the can beat srilanka by a mirgin .. why cant they win .. there are a bunch of great cricketers in the team now. Cheer for team india

Good win against Bermuda and along comes Sri Lanka and kill India's dream. I Bangladesh win their next game, India is out. I think India was not properly prepared for this tournament. You have good players but it takes more than good players to win a World Cup. Best of luck.

i think..its the lack of team spirit,consistency in performance of players,fielding...these all are the weak points i think our team have..anyways but its looking good this time and hope they will be back with worldcup...our team is having best batting line up in this worldcup..i think so...

Guess i am replying late to this question of yours but i guess ur beauty has motivated me to reply to your discussion and as a good artist it is my job to appreciate beauty when i see one smiles well i am answering this as the indian team did not deserve even to be part of the world mega event looking at the current diplomacy,board politics and team groupism created by one so called Mr Greg Chappell i blame him and only him for paining our nations and makeing us eat our pride for this game to be thrown out so early out of the world cup. He has brought a lot of misgivings to our indian cricket he did not perform as a coach but he disintigrated our team as a politician and our entire cricket crazy nation is a victim of his politics and so called experimentation grrrrr i am begining to hate that word Experimentation

Ya cricket is the most viewed game in India. And the world cup fever is really catching on. on everyone. I think India can win if they are consistent in every player performance. Everyone has to contribute to the team. India was never the best. The problem with our players are that they are not consistent. There is never a team performance. Our team mostly has individual performance. The Australians look at them they have equally good batsman as they have bowler. And they are very good at fielding too! If there is a team performance by our team then we can win the world cup. So many times we see that India slows up the run rate by which they score after getting a good start! They should not let it go down that low

Like all the other cricketing countries who say that their team will stop India from being no 1, I also say that my team, South Africa will do it. I believe that we have a very good chance because our team is in good form, our guys have experience with one another as team mates and we are on a winning sreak at the moment, let's not talk about the warm up game against Pakistan. Good luck to all cricketing countries. In South Africa we have a saying, "I don't like cricket, I love it."

hey, your response is appreciated. i like the way you are passionate about your south african cricket team. its good. we in india too are too much passionate about cricket and we love our indian team. i loved it when team india won in the warm up match against west indies.we are only few hours away from the commencement of this years world cup. all the best to your all the teams present there including yours.:))
