how often do u skip work?

I also feel weird asking for a day off. I rarely miss work when I'm working. I even worked 9 days in a row for the owners daughter because she didn't feel like coming in. I knew this guy and he asked off 5 days in January. A few days later he asked for the day off because his girlfriend had a minor car accident. She wasn't injured and the car didn't have much damage. Now he says she's pregnant and has been in the hospital already. She's only a month or 2 along if she is at all. Who knows the truth? If I ask for a day off it has to be something serious. Like at the end of March I'm having my wisdom tooth pulled and if I am working by then I will have to ask off that day and possibly the next day. It's only one since I had the others pulled already, but I just don't know how this one will go. Last time I wasn't able to talk for a few days.

I'm not working now but when I did, it was not very often. The only times I skip work is if I'm really sick and I know I won't be able to function well at work. I don't like to just skip work for nothing.

I refuse to work if I am feeling really sick . We are supposed to take the time off anyway as they don't want anyone else getting sick that is working there but they do end up getting irritated . I also won't go if something happens to my little one's either . I hate asking for time off but I feel my family is more important . I don't do it very often and will try to go even if I don't feel the best but if I am on antibotics or anything I call in sick for that day .

usually, i also avoid taking leaves or a day off without any good reason.i go to office even when i fall sick but normally, my boss grants me a half-day off looking at my bad condition.

i try my best to go everyday. in fact i prefer going in sick than asking for a leave and giving explanations for that. i go to work even if i am sick or tired or anything. for important issues like my marriage and other ceremonies i did take leave though...for 7 days!!

I used to feel bad, but I would just get burnt out, now I take a day off when I need one, and sometimes when I don't. But I also get 6 weeks a year now, so I have to use 5 weeks of it. So I feel ok using some days randomly.
