Know anyone who has lived in Wakayama, Japan or anywhere in Japan?

Just wondering who has lived in Japan or who knows someone who has. I lived there for 1 year teaching conversational English and just wanted to see how others enjoyed there time there.

I have a friend who was born in the Japanese province of Chikuzen. (I think that is how you spell it).

I don't know if that's how you spell it. Was that a town in a specific prefecture/province? I lived in the country side called Iwade in Wakayama prefecture in the Kansai region. Was the region chugoku?
