Just realized why I was depressed last week.. mom's birthday

Last week was really hard for me and I could not understand why I was so sad. Today it hit me last week was my mom's birthday. She passed away 6 years ago and I still miss her. We used to go on picnics when my girls were little because my mom loved to pick up the chicken and take us to the park with the lake. She would always be sure to bring a bucket so my daughters could catch tad poles. She was sick for many years so she would pull up in front of my house and honk her horn just for me to come out and tell her what I was doing. It all seemed so odd back then but I really miss that now. Sometimes we do not tell our mom's how wonderful they are and when they are gone it is too late. I was lucky because my mom knew when she was dying so we could say our good byes and make sure to express our love. I am so sorry to those that can not do that. I just have really missed my mom this past week. Happy Birthday mom I love you!!
