Ok I was attending a university called University of Phoenix. My mom applied for a loan and got denied. When she was denied for this loan she given another loan that payed for all of my schooling and I was not supposed to have to make any payments on it until six months after I graduated. I attended for couple of months and the university lost my paperwork and kicked me out of school. Now I tried along my my mom and my stepdad to figure out how to fix this and every time that I try and fix it and someone from the university tries to help me they end up not working there any more. Today I get a call out of the blue saying that I have six hours to give them ALL of my financial information or else they are going to use all the information they have about me to attempt to collect this debt!!!! I don't know what to do now and I feel like everything is falling apart because I do not have the money to pay the entire thing off and I know that it is only 4,000 dollars but who has that type of money just laying around. Does anyone have any advice or can anyone help me with this situation?

I have never heard of something like that happening before. If you have talked to all the head people at the university I would go to the cities school board and ask them what you can do next or talk to a lawyer to help you out.

Tell them that you don't have the money and you are willing to make payments to pay off the debt. I believe they will work with you because they love to get their money back. My friend had bad experiences at the University of Phonenix with the professors not getting the assignments she sent in. Then she would get lower grades. She moved to another online university because she was unhappy. You may want to call the Better Business Bureau if you want to file a complaint. Have a nice day.
