does true love require any proposal

based on what have you said, there's no doubt that your friend love the girl its just that ur friend is afraid of commitment. Or maybe his just really not ready yet, co'z love really not require a proposal. In a girl's view if a guy proposed to her to marry her it means that the guy wants to commit himself to love her no matter what.

I really think there is a need for a man to propose what's his feeling for the girl for you can never read minds and you can never be sure of other feeling unless you hear it straight from her mouth. Every woman really wished that someone will show a great affection to them and treat them as a woman by actions and by words. Sometimes feelings are best expressed if you say it with words.

No I dont think so....True love comes from your heart but not from your voice...So, true love doesn't require any proposal..

well, i think it does not require proposal. there is a saying that i think it would rather be applicable to your friend. "actions speaks louder than words" so i guess the girl knows everything as long that its about thier love for each other.
