There are only so many perfect heads and the others were given hair.
It is the teststerone that causes the follicles to give it up.
I love a full head of hair however some of the sexiest guys have indeed been balding. The hair, there or not, gray or not is not what makes a man. We cut our own hair so we already save money.

Men have an inherent genetic trait called "male pattern baldness". This trait is passed down on your maternal side. So if your uncles on your mother's side are bald, odds are very good you will be also. This is the main reason men go bald. Women usually only have baldness if they have a rare genetic trait or illness i.e. cancer. So the odds are better than 6 out of 10 men may become bald or partly bald. Whereas women have a less than 2 in 10 chance of becoming bald.

Hair loss is a very difficult thing to go through. You would be surprised at how many women also suffer from hair loss. It is even more difficult for women as many people accept male pattern baldness as normal but not female pattern baldness.
I think it would be terribly cruel to tease or bully someone due to hair loss. I sure would not do it.

I'm not a woman so as much as i agree with the 2nd part of your question i can't give you an honest answer on that but I think 1 of the main reasons men go bald before women is because men have more to stress about than most women.
