is it true that history is the key of the future

last time I studied history was four years back, when I was in the univ.
well, recently I begin to understand that history is a great instrument to build up thoughts for future, with history we can take advantage of mistakes that had happebd and so to avoid face the same problem.what do you think,is it important to learn history, or things does't happen twice!

I have a rather mixed opinion on this, but there is certainly some truth in what you say. It is a good practice to try to learn from he mistakes made in the past, but the whole structure of society is changing so much that we will undoubtedly encounter situations that have never arisen before.
