I just wanted to make my own comments about this issue. I personally have never had a cell phone therefore, I don't know what's it's like to have to be without it, so it is possible to live without a cell phone. I do not miss being without a cell phone, but I can understand about addictions, so it may help to give it up and only use it in case of emergency if you can, because what happens when you're at work. There are some times and places when you are unable to use it. Just wanted to give you something to think about. Good luck.

well, accept the part that you can use it whenever, whereever you want, listening to music with it while you're in the bus, being reachable for everyone..then YES it ain't so much different, lol.

I'm home about half of the week because I earn my living on the computer and from the phone (home businesses). So when I'm out I don't want a phone. I have no cell phone (probably a rare species today). I only want to be tied half of my life, the other half I want to be free. But now I know that I can reach you any time.

It is very difficult to live with out phone in this fast world. The invention of telephone by Bell changed this world entirely different. Now it is a common communication media for the rich and poor people.I am not much addicted to phone.I rarely make any calls.

Yes, it's a reality that cellphone units are treated as a necessity (and not a luxury anymore) nowadays. But about 10 years ago, this is not so. I believe that with self-discipline, we could live without a cell phone even for just a day. And instead, we can channel this texting fever to exploring at the wonders of God-given nature, spending time with our precious loved ones (friends included). No offense meant; but sometimes I long for the 'good old days' when the king of communication was still the landline. I really could live without it, because I have done so for more than a year. This was when I got married, stopped from work and stayed with my in-laws. I buried myself to doing a romance novel, which I luckily finished for a couple of months. I tried to rediscover my passion for writing. I also spent quality time with my hubby, and in-laws - waking up to the sound of birds chirping.

I really couldn't live without my phone, because it's a 1 in all! Like you, I'm as well addicted to texting xD Usually I do everything with it! Listening music, watching movies and texting/calling! Actually, almost every month I even buy a new phone! Just to get everytime a better feeling with it! I just love my telephone!!

Yeah, i can live without my mobile phone. For a year, don't have one and i'm getting used to that really. My friends really annoyed at me for not getting a new one .. well i gave up. Flags high! Due to insistent public demand, i got a new one. Now, i'm back to be totally getting addicted to it. I'm even using 2 phones now. haha! (",)

Although i need to cotact with my freinds and family, I can still survive without a mobile phone. I will not need to check whether i get any missed calls or message, because most of the time, I do not have an urgent calls, even i get some missed calls, I can still get back to them later.

Somehow the Telephone has become man's necessity, and till some time ago, man thought it as a luxury and had it to show his money power. Today things have changed and phone has become a dire need for all. More so, man have realised the extra bit of advantage he has on it. From this you may conclude that i cant live without phone.
