What do you prefer? Marriage first before living together or Live-In first?

Some people wants live-in first, because in this way, they will know the true identity of thier partner... Some people prefer Marriage first because they say it is everyones tradition according to the religion... If you would be the one will ask? What do you prefer and why?

I prefer living together instead of marriage. Don't get me wrong I am not against marriage, but I have been with the same man for the past 15+ years, and was only married for less than 5 years, three times before. I am with my life partner and even though we do not have a piece of paper that says it is legal, we are married to each other. We have had a few rough times but have always worked through them together. We are honest and open with each other.
