Get married because she's pregnant?

If you find out your gf is pregnant would you marry her? If yes, why?, just because she got pregnant? I am interested in hearing from the guys as well as the girls what you all think should be done. I have seen sooo many couples be together for what seems like forever and never take the relationship to another level and then the girl gets pregnant and before you know it the wedding is in 3 months. Anyone know of a similar situation?

since im a guy. and the dating her hasnt been that long but in love, i wouldnt marry her cause of that but i would support the child asand want to be in the babies life. you didnt ask how old the couple were if 18 - 20 i wouldnt get married and over than depends if we talked marriage before she got pregnant. I know it takes 2 to have a baby but why rush into marriagewe if have a great relationship.

Thanks for answering. I didn't state an age because that varies, but yeah, I agree, if you discussed marriage before than, of course, but if not, I believe age and love play a big role.

only marry somebody when you feels it is oke!
not just because she is pregnant. i don't know about childsupport in America, but in the Netherlands you have to sing papers to be the father, and when you sign you agree to pay childsupport when you are going to be seperated!
when yuo are married you don't have to sign anything,just go to the cityhall to give the name of your kid and you're done!and if you are married and something happend to the mother the baby stays with the father! i don't know how that is in America? sometimes you hear that the grandparents wants their grandchild!
