Doesn't it always seem that the people who criticize the US and its President for fighting for freedom and human rights world wide, would be the first people to scream and demand protection if we withdrew our troops? If America brought all her troops home, stopped giving foreign (financial) aid to less fortunate countries, closed her borders to immigrants, and deported all non citizens whether they were here legally or not, I think the world economy would suffer greatly. And when the Saddam Husseins, Mohammar Khadafis and Osama Bin Ladens of the world began invading their countries, killing or enslaving their populations, they would be begging the US to help. It's not how many wars can we afford (as an American taxpayer I would love to not have to pay for your freedom and protection) but how can we afford not to stand up to the bullies?
