do u use the link or cut out the name of the site and sign up yourself... i used 2 do that, but then i thought that that was mean so i start using refferal links....

No, in fact if I want to sign up for something that can be beneficial to another person I ask around and make sure someone I know isn't already doing it. That IS mean to do as you're not helping yourself and you're taking away from others.
