I live in michigan and about a year ago our Govonor had closed a popular prison to save money for our budget and that left a lot of people out of work and she had said she is going to bring in new job positions. One of her big goals is to lower the unemployment rate for michigan. But closing Jackson prison will just increase the unemploymentrate not to mention she plans on closing about 4 more prisons in the next year or two. She said she is going to bring more jobs to Michigan but she is taking them away. When Jackson prison closes she is also trying to have it passed that 5,000 inmates who are not in there for serious crimes be released along with the sick inmates. I believe that is wrong for the fact that these people broke the law and there punishment was prison time. I dont think its fair for these inmates to be released early just because she wants to save more money. It's like telling these inmates you break the law and you only have to do half of your sentence it really isnt teaching them anything.
So what do you all think about this crap?
