I'm curious. I see a lot of Christian posts, so I'm wondering how many pagans are here also.

Every Christian post is in effect a Pagan post. Christianises roots are Pagan and most of its rites are, in fact biased on Pagan ritual.

you are right in some ways but wrong in others... christianity is not BASED in pagan beliefs it is based on the jewish faith.... how ever in the early days of the church the church deliberately set the dates of its holidays to align with the pagan celebrations... such as christmas was set to align with saturnalia and easeter was set so that the holiday celebrations coincided with when pagans were celebrating either spring equinox or fertility based rituals such as beltane

I think there are quite a few. Count me in! Is there such a term as a non-denominational pagan?

I am a devout pagan as well. I enjoy my satisfying religion, it makes me whole. It makes me who I am today. I am sure there are a lot of us out there, considering it is one of the fastest growing religions today, especially Wicca, which is a form of Paganism.

How did I not see this discussion before? =p I'm pagan too! I started learning about my path when I was four years old, from my great-grandmother, and I plan to teach my son about it too. =)

Not trying to be funny - could we define Pagan. I am sure that many Christians would consider most people who are not Christians as pagans. If you mean those who practice pagan religions like wicca etc that is different. I am not but I have met a few on here!

Raising my hand...Peace through Paganism! I am a descendent of a few witches, one of which was accused at the Salem Witch trials, and have been called a "Green Witch" as well. I lean away from Wiccan rituals as they seem unnatural (to me) and a little too focused on following certain preparation and proper procedure and wording than achieving actual goals. Nice to make your acquaintences!

I am an eclectic solitary pagan. There seems to always be a majority of Christians in any group I have been in. It's too bad more of us don't come out of the old broom closet but sooner or later the ones that haven't just might and the majority won't be Christians anymore...then what WILL we pagans complain about ROFL.

I am druid\Celtic shaman in philosophy. Druidic philosophies believe in the natural world around us. It is a philosophies of many deities, in fact both sets of philosophies are not mono-theistic at all. There is a strong belief in magic, both white and black. The base of the philosophy is "Harm None, Do As Ye Will" meaning as long as you do not harm others with what you desire in your endeavors that you may do as you please. The Celtic Shamanism philosophies are built around healing yourself before you can help heal others. The basis of the philosophy is you cannot love those around you until you can learn to love yourself wholly and unconditionally. Tolerance and acceptance are a corner stone to Celtic Shamanism.

Yep, I am here. I am glad to see a lot of pagans around here. I left the Catholic church recently and I love my life now. A lot of things make sense to me now. I am not going to go over the details because this discussion is 5 years old
