I agree. Otherwise people would have the ultimate excuse of committing crimes. Laws made by the lawmakers are carefully studied and mostly are based on the needs of the society at large that they do not necessarily deviate from the norms of society. If you are just a morally upright citizen then you would not likely be apprehended at all. Those outrageous laws also follow certain procedures wherein the public would in a way be notified of its existence before finally implementing them. Such procedures include public hearings and notices. So you don't really have to worry as long as you are not planning something bad. And lastly, I guess it pays off when you read and know a lot about the community you live in.

That must be enforced ,or people will commit crimes and then apologize :"sorry ,I didnt know raping and killing is illegal !!!" ,however sometimes some people are inconvenienced because they are not familiar with one or another obscure rule ,which is unfair !

you're right..all the laws of the country wether it is major or minor should be posted or media power in order the people are aware of every single rule.

I totally agree with that law. I think people should know and be aware of the laws of any country, city or county they are visiting or living.

It has to be that way... If ignorance of the law was an excuse... everyone would break the law... and say "Sorry! I did not know." Believe it or not... but many people still try that excuse. It is a common excuse when breaking the road rules while driving.

Yes, it is correct in India also, "Ignorance of Law is no excuse". For example - You cannot say that you voilated a traffic signal, because you were not aware. You will be punished as per the law.

Agree "Ignorance of the law is no excuse." Many people do bad things and then say, "Oh, I didn't know." For instance, parking in a disabled parking spot when they are not disabled.
