How much pollution do you pump into our atmosphere every year? Find out at www.bp.com, click "Environment and Society," then click "Carbon Calculator." I dump approximately 18 tons of CO2 per year, which is slightly less than the US average. OK mylotians, especially greenies, put you money where your mouth is - what is YOUR carbon emissions footprint?

I took the test and it said 5 tonnes - the Canadian average is 11.7.
We're renovating the house and planning to add microgeneration and a lot of energy-saving features. I took the test again to find out what our footprint will be when we're done and it dropped to 3 tonnes.

Well, I'm not sure exactly how to calculate mine since I've put in a hydrogen-assist system in it. I have found the secret to make hydrogen (not really a secret) on the go.
How it works:
Steel rods in water with a 2 volts 600 Hz pulse @ 30 amps creates hydrogen and oxygen (oxygen is realeased to the air).
Hydrogen gets pumped into my intake.
The oxygen sensor is adjusted.
25% increase in MPG = less emissions.
Fill the water tank in the trunk when needed.
Every 5000 miles or so I replace the steel rods.

Oh, total MPG is now 43.75 from 35, not too shabby eh?
Steel rods, $10 each(6).......water for tank, $0.......less emissions, priceless!

My carbon footprint was 11 tons of CO2 per year. It is far less than the American average, but I still feel horrible about it. I think I need to re-evaluate some things and recycle. Yikes!
