How do you remove stuck bubble gum on the hair?

I occasionally watch over my younger cousins.Sometimes they get so crazy that they play with all the things their tiny hands could get hold of. Recently one cousin placed a bubble gum on the hair of my other little cousin. So it is there stuck onher hair. How do i remove it without cutting her hair (this is the last option)?

Cut the gum stuck hair out, only way i know of, unless something like nail polish remover works! Dont know what else would do the trick.

Don't try to get it out with a bone (Simpsons referrance). I would try icing it first. Then you might be able to break it off in small pieces. If that doesn't work call a hair saloon and they might have suggestions. I hate to say it but if all else fails you might have to cut it.

We've used ice (didn't work!), peanut butter and WD40. The oily stuff seems to do the trick. It hurts when you try to comb it out though. Good luck!
