I just got a hold of the Simpson's Season One Episodes. And I'm almost finish with it too. :)
I got to say I love it. The drawing is not as superb compared to the current season but the stories are good.
In this season, you get to see Marge's extra-marital activities, Lisa's inclination to the Blues genre, and many more stories with deep sense.
For the Simpsons fans all over the world, you have got to see the episodes of this season again. It is worth it.

I agree completely. I wrote a review of Season 1 a while back and that was one of the things I said, the drawing is not as clean cut as today's episodes but they are still classics!
Did you ever watch with the commentary on? I found the writers commentary on some of the episodes to be pretty interesting as well. You get to hear what they were thinking when they wrote those shows way back when.

What I had did not have any commentary features with it. I am interested in hearing the writers comments.

"Marge's extra marital activities" was the first episode of The Simpsons I ever saw. I remember watching it on the old dial-TV at the cottage when I was really little. Great show!!! Loved the ending. I hope The Simpsons go on forever!!
