what is the role of smoke bomb??????

The smoke is really only useful for short time confusion to any medium and up player. After playing CS for a little while, you'll learn to look straight through the smoke bombs, making it no problem to target and hit your enemies through it. To the beginner, a smoke grenade might resemble complete disguise, so that they think if they stand on the other side of the smoke grenade, they can't be seen which is not true. I've been playing counter-strike (NEVER going to play Source) since around 1999, and I'm never changing to 32bit graphics, why? If your playing with 32bit right now, try changing it to 16bit and see the difference. Standing at range with an AWM or whatever staring right through the smoke is no problem at all :) I usually start buying them if I'm getting enough money to spare for smokes, it's no standard part of my equipment, it's simply not worth it. As said, it is good to confuse the less good players.

smoke gren is a very usefull equipment!!!!!!!whn we r in smoke we gets invisible for other people....but we can see thm all....;(

who said its of no use...its good for getting away from snipers and if u put smoke then they cant see for a little while so u can attack at the same instant

Smoke bomb will help you hide yourself and good for abush attacks! =)

Smoke bomb is very helpful if your a skilled sniper you can use it to through off other snipers and just aim at were you think the door is and fire away.

It is quite true that a smaoke bomb can affect our movement but once you are quite aware of the map that you are playing with you can definitely use it to the disadvantage of your opponent. * You can use smoke bombs to cover your movement esp. through alleys until you find a space to hide yourself. * You can you can also disrupt your opponents approach to your position and confuse them by changing positions * You can also misguide your opponent about your way of approach to his location by smoking one way and using another route to approch his area. So I would suggest that a smoke bomb is not a 'must-be' part of kit but you could always use this as an xtra weapon to your advantage
