I know what beta is. beta is a condition testing software, but i don't know what alpha is? could you explain to me? is it another condition testing?

alpha testing is the software prototype stage when the software is first able to run. it will not have all the intended functionality, but it will have core functions and will be able to accept inputs and generates outputs. an alpha test usually takes place on the developers office on a separate system.

From the little things i know about softwares ,the programs have a testing periods before the final release. The first period called pre alpha ,is the very beginning stage of the program. After the designer of the program decided what the program must has, go the next step....to ALPHA program which mean he start test the program so alpha is a very earl drops of the software for tester only as i know.then and after they finish the tests they release for the public as a beta version of the product. They let us install and use as preview of the program but still not the final stage.I'm not genius either but they teach it to my son at him computer lessons!
