My favourite way to defuse stress is to write... I try to do three pages or journalling each day (as per Julia Cameron's The Artists' Way) but don't always get to it - but if I'm having a bad day or am upset about something I make time ... and once I've written it all out I usually end up just throwing it out - but I feel better. ...and once in awhile I even manage to come up with something worth keeping...either to use in a short story, or just to post on Gather.com or on my blog

I am really glad I saw your discussion the other day, by the way. I have been very stressed but not writing...and because you asked and I answered, I figured out that I needed to take some time to do some journal writing. I'm still stressed, but it helps, at least.

For me ,it will be nonstop irrestible jokes or great comedy movie.Laughter is the best stress buster I can think of.It soaks up the negative chemicals circulating in our body when we are stressed thus, giving chance to the positive ones.It creates an internal euphoric environment that's inconducive for worry.
