well tis is my theory abt new things turning old.....
u buy a thing feeling its new in the arena.....enjoy everytime u use it....n then a newer thing which ur friend uses catches ur eye.....u think abt the drawbacks of ur new thing......eventually u lose ur love for it....n it becomes old.....
thus a new thing is new until u stop to enjoy it......

after a week when the newness wears off and I'm not so excited about it anymore. For example, shoes, when I first get a new pair I love to look at them on me in the mirror, after a week I stop looking because I know what they look like.
