Is it Oedipus complex?

My friend always complains that her husband is not welcomed to come back by her son(10 years old) after his one-day duty. If her husband happened to go business for some days, his son will feel very relaxed, for he is allowed to stay in the same room and have a chat before sleep.She said father and son often wrangle about things which will not happened between she and her son.
Is it Fraud's Oedipus complex.Moms easily get along well with sons, dads with daughters. Is the father not qualified?

I and my daughter often wrangle too,but she gets along well with my husband.i think it is not surprising,father and son all are man,they have same thought,father order his son strictly,so his son dislikes these,mom can understand her son,he feels very relaxed.
