my personal choise is ricky ponting......he is aggressive,leads by example....prolific.....has the game plan well worked well be4 the match start...

If oneday cricket is concern its definitely Brian Lara.Look what team he get.Its very mediocre team.But still they r winning oneday matches.

u ever heard abt gream smith . ponting has good team and very professional attitude but smith is lead from the front . he is not only aggressive have gr8 game plan , i think u must heard ur might be seen that match of 434 run chase , if ponting is realy a gr8 captaion then that much run enough to defend where as smith from the beggining he p[layed he own game with one aim to win the game .

i think greame smith is the best captain at this moment.he is very aggressive and as an opener he is thrashing all the bowlers and giving his team a good start.he made goog decisions in the series against pakistan.
