Nicol David - She's the Squash Women's World Champion. Anybody heard of her?

She's from Malaysia. She has been the Women's World champion for the last 6 months. And looking at the current points accumulated, she's quite far ahead from Natalie Grinham, the second seater. Being World's campion, she received a lot of recognition from the state and government as well as corporate sectors in terms of cash, house and sponsorship. What about athletes from your country?

I'm from Australia and sport is a religion there. For a population of just 20m we have world champions in several sports.

Of course i have heard of Nicol David. I love squash. Nicol has got big potential to be the World Champion for quite sometimes. I have seen her points rating at the moment and yes, she's way ahead compared to her nearest competitor, Natalie Grinham. I think she deserves all the rewards she received. She has made not only the country proud but also the region.
